AutoCAD Draftsman – Site Coordination

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman who can prepare accurate technical drawings and also coordinate with the site team, contractors, vendors, and project engineers to ensure drawings are properly executed at site.

The candidate should have good knowledge of AutoCAD, construction drawings, detailing, measurements, and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

AutoCAD & Drafting

• Prepare and modify 2D architectural, civil, interior, and construction drawings in AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and working drawings.
• Incorporate site measurements and revisions into drawings.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, interior, and architectural requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, vendors, and project managers.
• Visit project sites to take measurements and verify site conditions.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify drawing/site discrepancies and coordinate for necessary corrections.
• Communicate drawing revisions and technical requirements to the site team.
• Assist in resolving basic site-related technical and drawing issues.
• Monitor progress of work related to drawings and report deviations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain updated drawing registers and revision records.
• Prepare and maintain site measurement records and drawing documentation.
• Assist in preparing material requirements and basic quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Maintain proper coordination between office drawings and actual site execution.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.
• Good understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
• Ability to read plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods and site execution.
• Good measurement and coordination skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and contractors.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of SketchUp/Revit or other drafting software will be an added advantage.

Experience

1–4 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, construction, interior, architectural, or civil projects preferred.

Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and good site understanding may also be considered.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be technically sound, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working both in the office and at project sites. The candidate must be capable of independently handling drawing-related work and coordinating with the site team for smooth execution.
